Networking is a great way to grow your business, but sometimes the process of networking – joining, attending meetings and other activities – is just more hassle than most of us need in our time-poor lives.
Fortunately for businesses in the Macarthur area, Alex Sperling and Diane Yeates identified that problem and implemented a solution, creating a no fuss networking group in November 2015, aptly named NO FUSS.
Alex and Diane have been working in the finance business for over 15 years and find being part of a successful and enjoyable networking group is the best way to make new connections and build relationships.
“We had both been in other networking groups but as working parents, we found it a real hassle to juggle the commitment with working crazy hours and family,” Alex Sperling said, “so we created NO FUSS around the hours that suited most working parents.”
So many local businesses agree, that over 290 local businesses are participating with over 50 alone at the last meeting.
So what’s all the fuss about?
Thanks to the sponsorship and support of Alex’s business Our Mortgage Options, there is no cost or fees to NO FUSS members and Alex and his associate Diane, volunteer their services to organise the monthly meetings.
“The feedback we get from members is amazing! They enjoy the very low key, relaxed atmosphere and many travel from North Sydney, Paramatta, the Hills district and even Goulbourn, to participate,” Diane said.
The concept is to promote local businesses, share experiences and help grow business in the Macarthur area with a wide spectrum of sectors and industries, both B2B and B2C involved.
Wedding suppliers, driving school instructors, legal and real estate, finance and insurance, building services, coaches, photographers, health, beauty and wellness, app developers and funeral directors and many more.

A wee bit about: Diane Yeates
Diane has been working in the land of finance for 15 years and with Our Mortgage Options for the past 2.2 years. She found it quite daunting arriving here from Ireland, but knew she needed to get out and meet people, especially with a new business and being new to the area. As a ‘people person’ the idea of running a network group appealed greatly.
“Alex and I started NO FUSS, hit the ground running, have built a very successful network group and I have made some really good friends,” Diane said. “My reward is seeing other businesses grow from the group, members returning each month smiling, I just know this network group is working for them.”
“I suppose it’s the Irish in me, ‘I have the gift of the gab’ and am energised being around our awesome members,” Diane said.
